FrSky ADVANCE (ADV) series has comprehensive sensor types and enhanced the performance and capability of the original sensor line, all ADV sensors fully support FBUS protocol and they are also S.Port compatible. With the FBUS protocol, the ADV sensors can be seamlessly paired with the FBUS capable receiver and further simplifying the build setup.

The ADV series GPS sensor provides accurate time synchronization with GPS satellites, working with the integrated “Auto adjust from GPS” function into the ETHOS system, this ensures the radio and its telemetry are all in sync with an accurate time system, ensuring telemetry data is in sync with UTC time. The GPS sensor can also provide telemetry such as altitude, position, speed, etc, which can be read on the radio in real-time.

Great GPS

So far the little GPS module is working great. Still need to see how I can get higher resolution from the position logs, only 4 decimal places for lat and long, which makes the KML a bit chunky. Not sure if that is possible.

FrSky GPS ADV Telemetry Sensor

This GPS sensor seems to be working well on the ground. I have not tested it in flight yet to confirm whether the delay has been corrected vs the previous versions of the GPS sensor. I have connected it to channel 10 of a TD-R10 receiver and enabled the F-Port protocol on channel 10. I also have S-Port sensors connected on channel 9 which is configured with the S-Port protocol. All sensors are working.
